Paint Color Reference - Part 2

And here's part 2.  I included the colors that I'm most frequently asked about, but don't hesitate to ask if there's one you're wondering about that's not here.

Again, click the image for the original before and after post.

(I think this Henry Link dresser is still my all-time favorite.  There's not a whole lot better than a great glossy red).

  1. I haven't been in the mood to paint anything lately...now I am! Thanks!

  2. Thanks for the reference!! It would also be great to know what colors you painted your walls, because your house seems to flow so beautifully! At least, I'm dying to know what color you used on the wall behind the buffet painted in BM Nantucket Fog? And, what color are the walls in the carpeted room with the dresser painted in Santa Barbara Green?

    Thanks!

    1. Amy! The color behind the buffet is BM's Edgecomb Gray + 50%. As for my daughter's room, I'm not sure. I lent the last of her paint out and it never came back. I'll have to do a little digging and get back with you!

  3. Natalie, I used the Santa Barbara green to paint some twin headboards and the color came out more "minty" than the bluish color in your picture. I've only used one coat, does it darken with another coat or is the picture more blue than it looks in person? Thanks, and you've been in my prayers.

    1. Jenny,
The pictures are quite true to the actual color of the dresser. What sheen are you using? Also, I used oil, so maybe that accounts for the color difference.
      Good luck!

    2. Thanks Natalie, I think I used a satin. I ran out of paint (because I used a horrible paint sprayer) and I need to buy more. I will get a semi-gloss or gloss and see if that helps! I found a Porter Cable gun brand new on ebay and I love it! I sprayed a vintage wooden high chair for my daughter's birthday smash cake pictures and it looks amazing.

Many thanks for posting this information. Could you tell me the color of the wall behind the peony pink tables?
